Slovakia's gambling sector is governed by Act No. 30/2019 on Gambling (Zákon c. 30/2019 Z. z. o hazardných hrách), which comprehensively reformed Slovak gambling regulation. Cryptocurrency in Slovakia is regulated by the NBS (Národná banka Slovenska — National Bank of Slovakia) under EU MiCAR (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation) framework. Slovak crypto exchanges and VASPs must register with NBS. Slovak law provides player-protection tools through the licensed market. The URHH maintains a national self-exclusion register, and licensed operators are required to offer deposit limits, loss limits and self-exclusion.
