Gambling Regulator Fines Tracker 2026

Verified fines and enforcement actions against online gambling companies in 2026, each with the reason and at least two sources. Updated as new cases are confirmed.

Quick Take

  1. Eight enforcement actions from 2026 are listed, from the Dutch KSA and the UK Gambling Commission, newest first. The largest is a €37 million KSA fine on 22 October.
  2. Dutch fines target unlicensed sites that took crypto or anonymous payments. UK cases mostly concern licensed firms: anti-money-laundering, social responsibility and technical standards.
  3. A fine does not refund players. The Rank Group payment, for example, went to the UK Consolidated Fund.

📌 In our view: the pattern is more useful than any single number. Dutch penalties are tied to unlicensed offers that ignored age and payment checks, while UK cases show that licensed brands and their suppliers are held to account for money-laundering controls, including for crypto-funded customers. A licence is a starting point for protection, not a guarantee.

What it means for players

A regulator fine punishes a company; it does not return money to players. Before depositing, check the licence in the regulator’s own register, use our licence lookup guide. Sites fined for operating without a licence in a market are not covered by that market’s player protections.

How we build this table

We list an action only when the amount and the reason are reported by at least two independent sources, or by the regulator itself plus one more. Cases where reports conflict or only one outlet reports are left out until confirmed. Amounts are shown as published; where a regulator’s own figure differs from a news summary we use the regulator’s. Fines do not imply that every action was final: appeals are possible. FAQ

How often is the Fines Tracker updated?

We add new regulator actions as they are confirmed by at least two independent sources and review the page at least monthly.

Does a fine mean players get their money back?

No. Fines are normally paid to the state or to a designated fund. Players who have a dispute should use the operator’s complaints process and the licensing regulator or an ADR service.

Why are some operators listed with sites rather than a company?

Dutch unlicensed cases are brought against the company behind the sites, so we name the company and show the best-known brands as reported.

Can I reuse the data?

Yes, under CC BY 4.0 with a link back to this page. The CSV has date, regulator, country, company, amount, reason and sources.

18+ only. Gambling laws differ by country and change quickly — check the rules where you live. If gambling stops being fun, BeGambleAware and GamCare offer free support.
