How promo codes work and what to check before you use one.
A promo code is a short text string entered at sign-up or in the cashier to attach a specific offer to your account. The offer behind it is set by the operator and its terms apply the same way whether or not a code is used. We do not publish codes on this page because they expire, differ by country and can be withdrawn at any time. Always use the code and terms shown on the operator’s own site.
In the UK, operators licensed by the UK Gambling Commission may not set wagering requirements above 10x the bonus from 19 January 2026 (UK Gambling Commission; OLBG). Other licences set no such cap. See our bonus terms guide.
A code usually unlocks a one-time offer, while rakeback returns a share of wagering or losses over time under the operator’s own rules. Neither changes the house edge, and both come with terms you should read. See rakeback explained.
A code is marketing, not an advantage. The house edge applies to every bet (Wikipedia; TheGameHaus). Treat a bonus as optional and decline it if the terms do not suit you.
Set limits first. Use deposit and loss limits in your account settings, and check that online gambling is legal where you live. If gambling is causing you harm, BeGambleAware and GamCare offer free, confidential support.
A code attaches an operator offer to your account when it is valid for your country and the terms are met. Codes expire and can be withdrawn, so check the operator’s own site.
Codes change often and differ by country, so any list would go out of date. Use the code and terms shown on the operator’s own site.
