The next dates when gambling rules change for players and affiliates, with days left. Every date has two sources and a note on what it means for players. See the full list in the Regulation Calendar.
Google lets certified online gambling advertisers use the YouTube Masthead, previously open to sports betting only. Eligibility depends on country and local licensing; unregistered gambling promoters are excluded.
Players: A Masthead ad means Google certified the advertiser for that country. It is not an endorsement of the product.
First debate of the re-tabled reform. If passed, it adds a whistle-to-whistle ad ban and criminal liability for marketing unlicensed gambling.
Players: Nothing changes for players yet. This is a bill, not law.
The DGOJ consultation on a common player-risk algorithm closes: monthly test on 183 days of activity, 72 hours to respond if flagged, protective measures for at least six months.
Players: Nothing changes yet; it is a proposal.
Every federal betting authorisation under Law 14.790 ends under Provisional Measure 1.394/2026. Open bets are void and stakes refunded. Congress still has to vote on the measure.
Players: Brazil has already blocked deposits and taken licensed sites offline.
Royal Decree 813/2026: the holder of a deposit or withdrawal method must be the holder of the gambling account.
Players: Existing players can play during the transition but cannot withdraw until the payment method is verified.
The new licensing system takes full effect and the market opens to licensed private operators.
Players: Rules and application details are still being published.
💡 What this means for players: a date is not always a law. Brazil’s measure still needs a vote in Congress, Denmark’s bill is at its first debate and Spain’s algorithm is a proposal. Check your own country in the Regulation Tracker before you act on any of them.
Each date comes from at least two independent sources, linked on its card, and is also listed in our iGaming Regulation Calendar. If sources disagree, the official source wins.
Not all. Spain's payment rule is in the official gazette and Brazil's measure is signed, but Brazil's Congress still has to vote on it. Denmark's bill L37 is only at its first debate and Spain's risk algorithm is a consultation. The cards say which is which.
